Rod has had an extensive property based career, which involved property financing, property development, and managing several large-scale sales teams selling new homes in corporate environments, and general real estate sales.

Rod is passionate about property investment and has presented seminars throughout the North Island. He has been involved in the sourcing, financing, sale and construction of over 300 new properties for clients and has accumulated a team of experts who are proficient in legal, accounting, finance and property management services for the benefit of his clients.

Rod has also served his time in the local community, having served on committees with St Andrew’s Church, Lady Cobham Kindergarten, Royal Oak Primary School, Cornwall Cricket Club and The Academy of Gymnastics, as his three children pursued their academic and sporting interests.

Having begun his real estate career in Royal Oak in 1976 and worked in property related industries most of his life, he joined Barfoot & Thompson in Pukekohe in 2010, and now with a move back to the city he brings a wealth of professional experience to the Royal Oak Branch ensuring seamless and expert service is delivered to his clients with every transaction.
