Phil Gully joined the Harcourts Nelson team in 2002, with a wealth of sales and management experience under his belt after 28 years in broadcasting. The sixth generation Nelsonian left the region when he was 18 to pursue a career in television and radio broadcasting around New Zealand, returning to the region for his dream job as general manager of Radio Nelson. However the avid outdoorsman was keen for a lifestyle change and decided to escape the corporate life with a switch to real estate in effort to free up more time for boating, fishing and hiking. Work ethics picked up during his broadcasting career, such as the importance of hard work and providing a consistently high standard of customer service have proven to be equally valuable in real estate, with his high standards and the Harcourts sales process ensuring he achieves the best possible results for his clients. Since joining Harcourts Nelson, the father of two has also enjoyed the opportunity to spend more time with his wife of almost 40 years, Anna and their two children and grandchildren. The couple are as passionate about community as they are family, and have been involved with Rotary for more than 20 years, including a stint as co-governors of the top of the south Rotary Group. Phil has also been president of the Nelson Chamber of Commerce and a committee member of the Wakapuaka Taiapure.
