Wayne relocated to Nelson from Christchurch in 1983. He joined the real estate industry 11 years later, in 1994, after working as a retail manager in supermarkets and hardware chains and 17 years of owning his own commercial cleaning business. He also spent two and a half years managing Nelson’s historic village, Founders Park.

I November 2014 and after 21 years in the real estate industry, Wayne made the move to Haven Realty Richmond to be their Sales Manager. He was attracted by the professionalism and sound teamwork. Those qualities, plus Wayne’s own high standards of honesty and integrity, have made him successful to the point of achieving and maintaining Diamond status in the business.

He has also received several Chairman’s Awards for top lister and top seller and believes being well known in the area, along with his sound local knowledge, has helped him achieve this recognition.

Wayne firmly believes in supporting local business and being actively involved in Nelson’s wide range of cultural activities. He ran the annual Nelson Hospitality Awards for 20 years and the NZ International Beer Awards for 10 years and is a Jaycee Senator. When he has time to “recharge his batteries” he enjoys socialising with friends and eating out.

Wayne’s partner Raewynne and their family of four sons and one daughter, 4 grandsons and 4 granddaughters are very important to him and he values time spent with them.
