Matt has lived most of his life in Wellington. Being raised in Khandallah he attended Cashmere Avenue primary before going onto Scots College. He spent the next 4 years in Christchurch completing a bachelor degree in Land and Property Management before returning to Wellington to embark on his real estate career.
