Raised in Rotorua where he was an integral part of the soccer community, Chris moved with his parents to Auckland where he lived and raised a family, becoming involved in the motor vehicle industry working for Honda NZ Ltd. Moving to Levin in 2012 with his wife Sally, he established himself in the community joining the Levin Bowling Club.
