Working in real estate could mean helping a buyer find, what can be one of life’s most valuable assets. It could also mean helping a vendor sell their home and move on to their next adventure in life. How exciting is that! It is a business where, as a salesperson, you have the chance to meet and interact with new people every day. It is a chance to make an impact on people’s lives and it’s a responsibility I take very seriously.I completed a Master of Marketing in 2014 at AUT. Marketing is a critical part of modern business today and very relevant in real estate, particularly with the constant advancements in technology. My studies gave me skills in marketing, sales and the all-important market analysis. I use these skills every day to my clients’ advantage. The current market share for the company is 40% in the Auckland and Northland regions, e.g. one in three houses in Auckland is sold by Barfoot & Thompson.In my spare time, I take part in as many outdoor activities as I can and I like to spend time with my family and friends. I am a volunteer for English Language Partners New Zealand and teach English to migrants and refugees in their homes for a couple of hours a week.
