Introducing Rachael Cone:

I first entered the Real Estate industry 20 years ago, following in the footsteps of family members before me.

I loved selling property and dealing with people. During my first 5 years I covered and helped out in every division of our real estate office, from administration to sales, open homes to accounts.  However it was not long in my journey before I identified a strong need in the market. I talked with many people, from mum's and dad's, to investors/developers and even young people starting out on their own property ladder. All had one thing in common; they felt they were being fleeced by our high real estate fees in New Zealand. It seemed everyone wanted to find a professional team of people who could deliver a service with experience and results but without charging the equivalent of their next house deposit.

Not one to wait around I got busy immediately. After studying to obtain a license to operate my own real estate company I also studied towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I believed that this would offer invaluable experience in understanding the dynamics between people; on a personal level and in an organisation.

During this time I talked with many real estate salespeople about my ideas and found they were equally enthusiastic. I opened my first office in Christchurch and our dream took off. To this day we do not have a quiet moment in our busy office and all of the staff have taken the workload on with a passion I am extremely proud of. We have since opened a second office in Rangiora to service the North Canterbury region and have also expanded into Mid/South Canterbury. Owing to strong customer demand from other areas, we opened in Nelson early 2013 and in Otago mid 2013.

We have been the largest advertiser in the Christchurch Realtor Magazine for 6 years and most months we list more homes on realestate.co.nz than any other single branch/franchise in the South Island.
