I was born in the county of Devon in the UK, and was brought up in a town to the east of Plymouth called Plympton. I joined the Royal Air Force in 1983 and following a successful 22-year career with them, the opportunity arose for me and my wife, Alison to emigrate to New Zealand. We arrived in 2007 and I took up a role in the RNZAF as an avionics technician. After rising to the rank of Warrant Officer, I decided on a change of career and having studied for my real estate qualification in 2017, I retired from the Air Force in January 2021 and started my new journey as a real estate salesperson. We have lived in the area since our arrival in New Zealand, first living in Waimauku and now we have a small lifestyle property in Woodhill. In my spare time I enjoy photography, walking and travel as well as tinkering with cars and bikes.
