About Anne 0032800000qFHU8AAO

With over 20 years experience in the real estate industry and a lifetime spent within farming; both dairy and dry stock plus thoroughbred horses, Alistair epitomises that perfect blend of sales experience coupled with expert knowledge within the rural and lifestyle property sectors. Living and working in the Waipa District for the past thirty years has seen him develop a diverse and wide reaching range of friends, contacts and business relationships, all of which he draws on in his real estate career. Alistair sites a strong work ethic, his rural knowledge and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with his clients as key to his continued success.

Leaving school to work on the family farm saw Alistair develop experience in dairy farming, dry stock and the creation of a thoroughbred horse stud with his father and brother.   Alistair moved to the Waikato, developed his own rural property and became the Stud Stock agent for Dalgety’s throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and King Country.  This led to Dalgety’s sending him to Australia for two years to work as a bloodstock agent. From here a career in  rural real estate followed.

Outside of his career, sport is a passion for Alistair. As an All Black in the 1970s he is no stranger to the hard work and commitment required to achieve at a top level.  As a proud father and grandfather Alistair loves nothing better than following his grandchildren both on and off the sports field. He and his wife Yvonne are actively involved in their grandchildren’s and children’s lives and love the fact that their two daughters live locally.

Alistair’s belief that sport provides so many opportunities for young people has seen him heavily involved in supporting a wide  variety of young people in different sporting codes from rowing to sailing to tennis, rugby and golf. He has been a stalwart of the Hautapu rugby Club coaching various teams over the years and has also coached at Old Boys Club in Hamilton plus a chapter as Assistant Coach for the Waikato rugby team. He now passionately supports  the Perago Trust (a non-profit Trust raising funds for promising young athletes aiming at a professional career in their chosen field), as well as supporting  the development of the “Home of Cycling” Avanti  Velodrome in Cambridge.

Alistair loves living and working in Cambridge and believes the picturesque town, the Waipa District and the greater Waikato are a superb place to live and do business. If you are seeking someone with a wealth of experience in the rural sector plus a huge network of contacts and the drive to get the job done, then Alistair would love the opportunity to speak with you.
